How the Mixing Charts were Made
Schmincke Vermilion (PR255)

The first "row" is simply a wash giving you an idea about how light you can make the color.
Each column of color represents a gradation from the "mother" color, in this case Schmincke's Cadmium Red Orange to the color at the bottom of the column. So for each column I started with a nice juicy puddle of pure color and added a little of the mixing color. In the case of the first column, this was Winsor-Newton's Cobalt Green. In the next row you add a bit more. Etc. Continue on down the row adding more and more of the mixing color. Repeat for each column using a different mixing color.
For the mixing with Cadmium Red Orange I used the following colors.
- Winsor-Newton Cobalt Green (PG50)
- Schmincke Cobalt Turquoise (PG50)
- Winsor-Newton Cobalt Turquoise (PB36)
- Winsor-Newton Cerulean Blue (PB35)
- Schmincke Helio Turquoise (PB16)
- Schmincke Phthalo Blue (PB15:1)
- Holbein Ultramarine Deep (PB29)
- Winsor-Newton Indanthrene Blue (PB60)
- Schmincke Ultramarine Violet (PV15)
- Schmincke Sepia Brown (PB15:1+PBk9+2xPBr7)
- Sennelier Lamp Black (PBk9+PY42)
- Schmincke Neutral Gray (PR251+PB60+PG7)
- Schmincke Titanium White Opaque (PW6)
